The Butterfly Effect
The Butterfly Effect, used in the Chaos Theory, that a butterfly flapping its wings in one part of the world might ultimately cause a hurricane in another part of the world. This pieces takes that theory by using simple melodic and rhythmic modulations to change to mood and feel of the piece.

Flight 25
Inspired by the movie “Memphis Belle”, this piece pays homage to all who have flown in the United States Air Force. From the calm tranquility of flying amongst the clouds, to the aggression of a dog fight, Flight 25 allows your members to portray different moods throughout the piece.

Flux
Flux: to be in a state of constant change. By frequently altering the meter, harmonics, and styles throughout, this piece keeps the performer and listener engaged from beginning to end as the changes seamlessly blend together.

Someplace Between Wake and Sleep
This piece uses themes from Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata”, Grieg’s “Morning”, and Foster’s “Beautiful Dreamer” to create musical imagery.

Olympus
Inspired by the Greek Gods/Goddesses, Zeus, Aphrodite, Hades, and Aries. This 4 movement pieces takes the listener through the feelings of Joy, Love, Despair, and Anger.

Anxiety
Driving tempos and haunting melodic lines give a sense of tension to the listener. This 3 movement piece is great for ensembles that are just getting started.

Dia De Los Muertos
Dia De Los Muertos (Day Of The Dead), A holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world that focuses on gatherings to pray for and remember friends and family members who have passed away. Upbeat Latin rhythms and use acoustic guitar on the melody of “Ave Maria” help bring out the spirit of this widely known and celebrated holiday. (Acoustic guitar solo can easily be adapted for vibraphone or synth)

Vanity
Based on the myth of Narcissus, this piece is programed in three movements, each exploring the different parts of the myth: self admiration, pride, and self destruction.

Flow
Like the calming flow of water or air, this piece has a smooth relaxed feel to it. Using a wide range of dynamics, “Flow” gives you members the opportunity to explore a more musically expressive quality in their performance.

Persistence
Persistent: Continuing on a given path especially in spite of opposition, obstacles, or discouragement. An aggressive first 2 movements and ending with a light/uplifting 3rd movement, Persistence conveys the importance of having the determination to find what is meaningful in life. Originally composed for Alternative Percussion from San Diego, California. 2010 SCPA Gold Medalist in the PIO division, and 2010 WGI World Finalists in the PIO division.

Reflections
Written to support the use of mirrors as a main visual compenent, this piece uses upbeat and relaxed grooves and ostinatos to give the music a “reflective” quality. Originally composed for Alternative Percussion from San Diego, California. 2009 SCPA silver medalist in the PIO division and WGI World finalist in the PIO division.

Singularity
Singularity: The mathematical representation of a black hole.
The Big Bang Theory says the Universe started as a singularity.
Beginning the piece with a single note and building to use themes from Holst’s “Planets”, this shows takes the listener through the creation of our universe.
